There are several small pro-am competitions in Portland and Seattle including the
Oregon Fall Festival in Portland each October, the City of Roses in Portland each March, and the
Seattle Star Ball
every August which offer opportunities for local pro-am students to compete without the expense
of long-distance travel.

There is one world-class ballroom dance competition called the
Snowball Classic
held each February in the Northwest in Vancouver, BC.
We highly recommend you visit this competition at least once.
It will be well worth your effort!
